This is the official website for Trust Waikato Sunset Beach Lifeguard Service. Keeping members informed with latest news, events and information. Situated at Sunset Beach, Port Waikato we play a big part in the community from Labour Weekend to Easter.

President's Welcome

Since the Clubs inception in 1953 in excess of 1000 Ocean Rescues have been carried out at Sunset Beach. It is interesting to note that over the decades of changes in the Club there have been a nucleus of members who are still active and in some families we are into three generations of Members.

Sunset is richer for these people and the future of the Club is in safe hands.

The members of Sunset and their families can be proud of the role they play every season. They can take great satisfaction that they are part of the Sunset beach Family, a family that asks no more than what you can give and where you are only measured by the effort that you put in..

As Sunset Beach fast approaches its 50th year of providing beach safety at the Port we can reflect on our history with a sense of pride and great satisfaction. One thing we can be sure of that Sunset will always be as we love it. Our Sunset Beach
